Airbrush setup for painting wheels/small parts

I have a husky 20 gal compressor I bought at Home Depot and a spray gun I used to paint my headlights and wheels on my G satin black. Came out like a bodyshop finish:

I don't want to get them powder coated. I like/enjoy doing it myself.

Twenty gallon one is out of the question. I would love one but I will need a bigger house/garage before I go that route

Very nice Aaron, did you have the tires off to paint them.

Nope I painted them with the tires attached to the rims. That why you see some black overspray on the tires lol. But I noticed some brake cleaner takes it right off so no biggie. Masking it up perfectly takes too long.

I have run a large spray gun when I was painting a golf cart with a 6gal porter cable with no problems. I would feel a lot safer with a 6+ gal for a large spray gun. If you run an airbrush just about any compressor will run it. Just make sure to use a good filter to get all of the water out of the air.

Well after a lot of research I think I'm going against airbrush. Too small of spray pattern :-( looking into small compressor for a small spray gun
