Hey guys like the title says my aftermarket woofer set up has stopped thumping. Ive checked and changed all the fuses, the amp is getting power, all connections at every point have been checked and secured, and I am running out of ideas as to what it could be? My next guess is that the RCA's that i assume plug into the oem head unit have somehow become unplugged? Any ideas or suggestions or help is greatly appreciated before i have to take it in and pay someone....

sadly you probably blew them try another sub with the same set up and you can tell from there. I remembered before I went with something custom Ihad a bazooka sub and that sucka blew because I didn't break it in properly, which some subs require.

Its not blown it would make some kind of noise if it was blown, but there is no noise or movement from the sub at all.

Bump for help!

plug in a rca from an external source to the amp (ipod to headphone to rca adapter) and see if you get anything, back in the day when money was tight we used a 'walkman's' headphone output to supply music to our amp :eek.:

what amp are u running with ur setup? .some amps wont let the sub work if the sub is blown so u wont hear anything . check the sub to see if its blown maybe the voice coils blew . if not check your RCAs. sometimes the RCA break after a while if they arent quality RCAs also check if the channel on ur amp for the sub is working .channels on the amp blow sometimes

is there a way u can send me a pic of ur setting on ur amp ? and of ur setup ? i could tell u a better answer by seeing what ur running . also how long has it been working good for ?

Ya i can send you a pic id be easy if i had your email, the system has been working flawlessly for the 3-4yrs and the amp is like 2yrs old.

Not sure on the converter i didn't do the install. I had it done professionally by a very good audio shop
welll the only thing that i could think went wrong is either that converter or a rca cable or maybe a cable got disconnected and also sometimes but rarely the headunit . im on my second factory head unit n its giving problems again . i might switch to aftermarket soon . try taking it back to the shop where they installed it . and if u can send me ur amp setting ?
