Hey y'all

The arrival of the much anticipated AEM air filters .. has been realized

While i am disapointed that this took almost 2 full months to happen im confident at this point that i have a quality product (back order anyone ..)

Just installed them tonight so no hp / mpg feedback but i sure am excited to see how they act - ill give an update when i get a few miles under my belt

Please note the K&N logo on the order

So you got the AEM dry flow air filter. That's a shame you had to wait so long for it. I wis thinking of getting a pair myself rather than the oiled K&n filters. I believe AEM was purchased by K&N.
Where did you order from?

Does it really make that much of a difference not to use the OEM filter? I mean how much of an "upgrade" is it? I still love my gas guzzling monster, but I'd take any tips to help reduce the guzzling part

I've had these since last Spring and have seen zero improvement in gas mileage. They should only net ~5-7hp at best so you would not 'feel' a 1.8% increase in power. That being said, I'm glad to not have to replace air filters again. +1 :)

Gas mileage was in the back of my mind .. but i wasn't counting on anything (only getting 15 mpg in city driving for the last couple months ...)

So far the only thing i notice is a little extra intake noise which is a nice addition and has easily improved the butt dyno number by 1.8% :)

I don't suppose anyone has gone to the trouble of measuring hp gains on a dyno?

zero....Maybe a few with a proper tune but the gain is more from the tune than the filters...
