ABS kicking in when accelerating?

So it snowed a lot here in Northern Virginia yesterday so I took my FX out for a drive in the snow for the first time!. Must say that it was a lot of fun

Anyways, I came across a question.
With or without the SNOW mode and WITH the vdc, the car makes a thumping noise when I press down on the gas pedal hard. Pat thinks it's just ABS kicking in but just wanted to make sure that this noise is not excessive. With the VDC off, though, the noise goes away. So the noise is definitely something related to VDC (and probably ABS) but can you guys confirm this?

Here are some videos:

If you guys think it's not normal, I will bring it into Infiniti today and have them check it out. Thanks in advance!

Totally normal. It's not the ABS, it's traction control. Hard acceleration in snow causes the wheels to slip, the computer sees this and makes a correction.
