Today i was driving and it started raining. The windows started to fog up and i turned on the defogger. The a/c light lights up but the compressor does not turn on. Before this winter everything was working fine. I put the gauges on the low side and everything reads normal. Anyone can help me out here please. This has to be something simple before i go to the dealer and get rapped. Thank you in advance.

My 2005 G35x showed the same symptoms.

Everything was in working order, but the compressor would not 'click' on. Ended up being a leak in the metal hose that runs below the compressor (just visibile from the top of the radiator). The freon had escaped and there was no pressure left in the system. There is a pressure switch in the system that detects low freon pressure and does not allow the compressor to switch on (to save the compressor).

Maybe have your pressure checked? If it's low or non-existent you'll need to have your system checked for leaks, the leak corrected, and the system recharged.

Check the wiring at the compressor for voltage then have someone push the buttons inside the car. If that doesn't work then check the pins in the metra kit tomake sure that one of them didn't get bent when you plugged it in.someone put a metra kit in my g and I can't get it unplugged to Save my life, so when the day comes of getting the jdm kit I'm going to have to cut the wires

Got the a\c recharged and checked everything. Still not working. Then checked the ac pressure switch. If i push the plug up boom the the a/c works. If i push the plug down it shuts off. In the end now i need a a/c pressure plug like this pic. Anyone have an i idea where to get just the plug?
