Well I just got my 80 series flowmaster put in and I opted to leave the resonator to see first how it sounded that way. I can hear it slightly Inside the cabin and it sounds pretty nice outside aswell. But I feel I need more boom boom, thinking of taking the resonator off Tommorow. But need encouragement! For those of you that have this setup with delete resonators do you feel the louder exhaust pulls away from the classiness of the vehicle? Or does it blend nicely? I am not a very aggressive driver as I have a 2 year old and one on the way.
Thanks in advance

Its going to be loud in the cabin. If you sound deaden the trunk, back seat & doors it may be "acceptable", personal preferance really, some like it louder.....

Give the 80 series some time to "break in". After a month or so mine got so loud that I elected to install sound insulation specifically for that reason. Personally there is NO WAY I would remove the resonator at this point.

I cut out my resonator completely and left the stock exhaust, I believe i have a clip on youtube for it. Anyways it sounds amazing at high revs and silent at cruising speeds. But if you have the flowmaster on it'll be loud all the time, if you like that then thats great if not, just take the resonator out. my 2 cents..

this is my youtube clip:

+1 for waiting a bit. New exhausts always get louder after breaking in. Also consider if you remove the resonator, your straight through exhaust might be too straight through. Loss of back pressure=loss of low end torque. I'm doing a simillar Borla Pro set up on mine soon. I am removing the resonator, however, planning on replacing it with a 9" single chamber drag muffler. This will give an even more throaty rasp, but still a good balance of resistance. Take a look at resonated tips, this can help reduce some drone as well. I personally like my exhaust loud, but you can always use dynomatt to dial it down in the cabin.
