I'v got a 09 Fx and i did the free 3,750 mile service check with the dealer. Is it necessary for me to go again and do the 7,500 mile service because i don't want to pay a whole lot of money that isn't necessary to do? If it isn't necessary, will i have to go to them to get the warning removed. What would you guys recommend on doing?

I usually get my service done at the Dealers, but you can get it done anywhere as long as you keep records and reciepts.
What warning are getting them to remove? If you are talking the maintenence reminder, you can do that yourself. It's all in your owner's manual.

There is really no need to do ALL the so called scheduled maintenance that infiniti suggests. I would suggest the 35k, 70k and 100k for the major lubing, fluids and belts. In between those miles just do inspections with the regular oil changes (preferably with full synthetic), intake air filter cleaning/changes and in cabin air filter changes.

so for the 7,500 maintenance service, i should only get the Schedule 2. I will post a link and let you see the service schedules.

i just don't think any of it is necessary to do. I think that at 11,250 mileage i will go to the dealer and let them service it. By the way how much do you guys think it will cost for the schedule 2 service at the dealership(I'm talking bout the 7,500 service).

I would go schedule 1 and have the work done at a local trusted shop. Make sure they print a list from the Infiniti site that identifies the items visually inspected.

Can someone do a DIY on the 2009 Cabin filter change?

Well if you haven't aready done this, I replaced mine with the directions that came with the new filter (Bosch). You have to remove the panel underneath the glove box, then you have to remove the glove box itself. It is behind that. I think the panel has a few (3) screws, and the glove box may have some too.

there are a total of 6 screws that hold that glove box in get the 2 on the bottom one on each side then pull the four out from the top pull down on the glove box the lower panel will pop out when you do this and then you will see a white box with a door on it pull on the tab to the right and it will release and there is your incabin air filter. install in reverse order.

got this from other forum............i`ll be changing mine....i`ll take pictures....will post it up:wink:
