5w-20 synthetic?

Better MPG, but protects the engine less. I recommend staying with what the vehicle recommends.

Vq are hard on oils. Vk I don't know much on.

5w-20 is normally used in engines that's very easy on the oil. Small econ boxes that get great mpg and don't make much power.

A lot of people have told me to try 5w-40 or 0w-40 for better and quieter operation. I haven't had the chance to because I have about 40qts of 5w30 and 10w30 in my garage.

What oil change interval are u looking at if u use amsoil? U gotta aim for 7.5k if not more pending a UOA.
