Hey guys has anyone put a 4 channel amp to the high mids using the Bose head unit right now..I remove the old Bose sub and replace it with a 10inch sub and amp but the bass is over powering my high and mids so I wanna put another amp any option do you think I gotta put a aftermarket head unit

Easiest thing to do is to lower your gain on your current amp to level off the output. Gain is used to magnify to input signal, if your gain is set too high, you WILL overpower the rest of the system.

What you are asking to do is not easy, and will take a lot of time splicing into the stock bose amplifier to get the proper signals. Not too many people have tried it here. The proper way to do it is to replace ALL the stock speakers and bose amp. Since the stock speakers are 2ohm, it makes things a lot more difficult to just replace the stock bose amp with another one. On top of that, you have the left front door, dash x3, right door, rear doors x2, and rear pillars. Total of 9 speakers without the sub.

Best way and what I would do is:
New component speakers in doors
New speaks in rear doors.
New 4 channel amp powering them.

DO NOT use dash speakers or rear pillar.

yea i should have not gotten my dash speakers hooked up to the aftermarket, bad lesson lol

Well my dash speakers(aftermarket) are hooked up to my 5-channel aftermarket amp. 1-2 Channel:Dash speakers, 3-4 Channel: Door speakers, 5 Channel: Sub. So my dash are set with built in amplifier crossover, to play mids and highs(~120 Hz and up), and door speakers are set to midbass and mids(~80Hz and up),Sub is tuned to play 0-80Hz. Rear doors amplified by Pioneer Head unit, Center and Rear pillar speakers removed. The audio scene is right in front of you, perfectly aligned too, sounds loud and clear also, IMO it all depends how you will tune the whole system.:smile (2):

Honestly zebra,

I would dump the dash speakers all together. Run ch1-2 on a nice set of front door components. Ch3-4 for rear fill like a set of coax. Ch5 for the subwoofer. I think you'll find the imaging and control much better.

Previously, I installed the Morel component to my doors and when I was tuning the system didn't like the tweeter sound at all, I tried every spot on the door shell(the sound just wasn't right for me). So I just removed the tweeter and left the mid bass only(plays very well with BA dash speakers). IDK it sounds great for me.

Sounds like you didn't like the way the Morel component set sounded. I have seen many people switch out the tweeter of that system and keep the xo and woofer to achieve a more neutral sound. I had a set of Infinity Perfects 6.0 that I loved in one car. Switched them over to another car and it sounded horrible. Sold my perfects and got a set of Rainbow Germanium 6.5. Been happy since.

Boston Acoustics have a very warm neutral sound that is pleasing to the ear. I'm willing to bet if you tried a set of BA components you would be even happier than you are now. But it sounds like your satisfied now, so no real reason to switch. Just trying to give some suggestions to improve your system, if your happy, that's all that matters.

Thanks, Yeah, There are thousands of different setups out there and my setup works for me really well. I mainly listen to electronic music and it sounds 100% as it should in my car, I tried to play some old school rock, well lets say it was very average sound coming out from my speakers. And for the electronic/dance music you don't really need high end components, the average/mid class sound components will do the job just fine(I tried to stay on budget also) IMO.:smile (2):
