305/35R22 in Front?

I know this has been covered a million times. And I think I've read everything written. But I still have to ask.

I'm thinking of going up to 22's, I was wondering if I can safely run 305/35R22 at all corners? No drop, no fender rolling. If not, what are my options? I see the 295/45/20 is the same diameter as stock so I may resort to that. 305/35/22 is only 2mm difference.

To clarify, by safely I meant no rubbing.
 
i would never run that size in the front. Your handling will feel shitty plus you might start damaging suspension components especially your rack. Run the most 285 up front

I'm not sure yet. What offset would work? I wasn't fond of the idea either i just wanted to keep everything the same because of AWD.
 
I run 305/35/22's on all four with my 22's. Rubbing issue has to do with the offset of the wheels and the side profile of the tires you choose. But without having to roll or shave the fender wheel well's I would not go more than +40. Mine are +35 but I had to shave the fenders to accommodate this spec but my tire choice was pirelli asymmetrico pzero scorpions. Many members here have this tire but it is now discontinued. You may be able to find left over stock online or at some tire shops. This tire does have a bit wider profile. However, the only current tire available with this spec is from Veredestein made in Holland.

Ah just saw that you own the 2nd gen FX. but i believe the factory offset for the +09 oem wheels is still +40 on a 8in wheel width. If that's the case than everything I said above would still apply,

Man all of you run BIG tires on your FX's ...... mines a DD and I wanted to be able to rotate .... AWENTA my setup .... Stock Suspension with HR Sport Springs .... 22X10.5 Wheels w/ 25MM Offset....... 285/40/22 Nitto 420S Tires ..... this setup requires no fender rolling or other mods is the same as running factory 20X8 wheel with a 25MM Spacer .... no rubbing and doesn't bottom out.

This is a nice clean look that leaves little gap and pushes the tires out flush with fender wells ........

I agree that you should not run a larger tire than 285 in the front .........

Mine is a DD as well. 100+ miles a day. This is for summer wheels.

How about 305/35/22 in the rear and 265/40/22 up front? Is that close enough for AWD? I would like a bit wider up front but then to circumference starts to vary more. I think the wheels i saw had +40 offset.

I'm not positive if stock on 2nd gens are +40 or +50. I've seen both answers.

Those are the sizes I have on mine. 22x10.5 w 40 offset +325x35 in rear, 265x40 and 25mm spacers in front
 
305/35/22 is fine in the front. I just don't see any reason to do it. 265/40/22 and 305/35/22 work fine for AWD. I've run it before. I've also run 285/35 and 295/35 w/ 265/40 in front on my AWD without issues. It's all close enough that the system is fine.
 
Why is 305/35/22 impossible to find?

I may have to do 305/40/22 and 265/45/22 in front. It's more of a difference but is it still close enough?
 
To maintain some ride comfort I went with 20s. I also wanted to be able to rotate the tires so I did 295/45/20 all the way around. 8.5 wheel with +35 offset. Tires are even with the fenders. Plenty of room left when turning, no rubbing.

Oh yeah, I went with the Yokohama Parada spec-x. Excellent tire.
 
Turns out two of my four yokohamas are defective and causing a vibration. They have a lump. Bummer because I liked them. So I will be changing them all. My options are Hankook Ventus ST RH06 or Toyo Proxes STII. Anybody have any experience?
 
i recently got the hankook rh06 and i was kind of dissappointed on the thread design width, i purposely got the 275 expecting to be wider but it was not. Next round of tires i would definitely get nittos or continentals for a wider design
