2nd gen tail light. How do you know when the bulb is out

Hi there,

I am new here. Been on the site a lot just reading forums and just decided to join in the fun.

I have a 2009 FX35. My question is in regards to the rear tail light. When should all the lights on the outer perimeter be on? By that, I mean the outer perimeter of the lights above the reverse light. At night time I only see the outer perimeter lights above the brake lights on and not the reverse light section.

Also, should the rear reflector lights be on as well? I have never seen them illuminate at all.

Do I have an issue here?

There are no red lights above the reverse lights
unless done custom

Ok. I was looking at the lights and saw the same pattern for the light on the brake light as well as the reverse light and thought that they would both light up. Didn't know that this is an aftermarket thing. Strange how the made the placement for it but have it been being functional. Sorry, kind of a newbie in this area.

There are no lights in the reflectors either... Unless done custom as well.
