2nd Gen FX35/FX37/QX70 Factory Crossbars

2009 FX 35
I've been on a short journey trying to find crossbars for my 2009 FX35. I looked into Thule, Yakima and even some high-rated crossbars on Amazon. I even went as far as purchasing aftermarket (made in china) oem style crossbars on ebay for $140 (using best offer). The ebay bars don't fit, by the way. In the end, I opted for the OEM look and decided to purchase the OEM crossbars (Part Number: G3805-1CA0001) from the Infiniti USA E-Store. I got them for just under $250 by selecting Suburban Infiniti of Troy as the dealer and using the "estore2018" discount code to get 25% off my order.

It took a week to get delivered to me in SoCal and I installed them the same day. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the bars are 24 inches apart, making just about any roof box (Thule, Yakima, etc) fit on the bars. I was under the false impression that the crossbars were only 19 inches apart because I had seen another post. Somehow in my search for crossbars, i was led to that post leading me to believe it was the same for our 2nd Gen FX's/QX. So glad that's not the case!

Anyhow, I'm now in the market for a Yakima Roof Box to make extra space for the baby gear (stroller, rocker, etc.) on short trips and other stuff on long trips.
I'm hoping the antenna doesn't get in the way. I did see the other thread on roof boxes, but those are all pretty large boxes on that thread. I'm looking for nothing bigger that 15 cu ft.

I'll try to keep this thread updated.

Box on top! I never considered,

My kids were teens when I got my 2003, blk/blk beauty, she had all the sports and techno packages, but never had cross bars, when I got #2, I took them off day two.

My bike rides inside the back. Second row seats stay down, no extra luggage required.

Finally found a box. These things are pricy!! Luckily my patience and persistance paid off as i was able to find a good used one for less.
I went with the Thule Pulse Medium (614). It has 14 cubic feet of space and it has easy grip hardware. Took less than 5 minutes to position and tie down. Best of all, it clears the hatch!
I had orginally been looking for yakima products, but I just read too many negative reviews about the box opening up in the front after driving at high speeds. The thule stays shut even at speeds above 80 mph.

You need the shark fin antenna.
