295 vs 265

I have read the posts, looked at the tire calculator. The question is - would you go with the OEM 265/50/20 or go big with the 295/45/20?

Seems the difference - other than price - is very small.

For stock/narrow wheels: 265/50
For wide (10"+) wheels: 295/45

Prices should be pretty close as well I thought. Within $2 for the ones I get.

I'm looking at putting 295/40 on the 21" oems. Tire Rack says 10" width wheel minimum, but from what I've read, putting a 295 on a 9.5" wheel really won't be a problem.

Hopefully it will prevent my wife from further rashing my wheels.

295's fit the FX50s OEM 21's just fine. Tire brand/model might make some difference in look but I had great luck with the Continental ExtremeContact DSW06 295/40ZR21s.
