24" Wheel Offset HELP

Whats up everyone,

I am looking at 24x10 rims with a 285/35/24 tire. I am not sure about the correct offset for my FX35 awd.

I would like to order my rims and tires online so I need to get this right the 1st time. I know the correct bolt pattern is 5.114 I am just not sure about the offset. I really don't want them to stick out to far. Flush or 1/2 inch at the most is what I'm looking for. Is the correct offset 30+ or 35+ ?

Do I need to worry about it clearing the brake caliper or any other parts? I will not be lowering my vehicle.

Thanks in advance.

At least of 1st gens, the offset on stock wheels is +40.
I have a set of 24x10 rims with +13 offset and 255/30/24 tires. I wish my rubber was wider, so 285 is better as long as the 35 aspect ratio puts the circumference similar to OEM. Without spacers, my +13 is pretty flush. Wider tread will certainly help.

I think my stock wheel offset is 50+. The way yours looks is how I would like mine to look. Do you have any pics with the rims you can post up? Thanks, I appreciate your help.

Porkies FX is a 1st Gen so the offsets are different for your 2nd Gen. There are a few on here running 24's hopefully they will see your thread.
I'm guessing that 35 to 40mm will be good.
Also your OEM centerbore is 66.1mm, so if your new rims are a larger centerbore make sure to get hub rings.

this fellow is running 24's on his 2nd Gen: https://www.infinitiscene.com/search/1/?q=16481-Mikes-fx-2010-Infiniti-FX-35

Since you asked. Everybody else, cover your eyes.
These are the same pics I posted on some other thread a while back. 1st gen with no spacers and no suspension mods. 24's look better on 2nd gens.

285/35 is going to be too tall. It will work, but your speedo will be off. It's a little over an inch bigger in diameter than OEM. +35 or 30 would work with that width, but it may rub since the tire is taller. If you got a 30 series tire, it would be fine.

i have 285/35/24 tires on my fx tires fit great on the 2 gen and protect my rims very good havent had any issue. i just forgot my offset but you could look though my garage and see all my pics

Yeah your FX is pretty dope. Need to know the correct offset from someone who has them on a 2nd gen

Yeah I think a +30 is go but still not 100% sure? Thanks for your help

Quick question... I am not sure which route is best. Please advise!

Option 1 - purchase online with no sensors, tires mounted and balanced on wheels, lugs and wheels locks included.

Option 2 - purchase at local rim shop, will remove my sensors from stock set and put on new wheels, mount and balance tires, but is going to charge me $400 more than online wheel shop.

Both are authorized dealers. If I order them online and everything is correct, bolt pattern and centerbore. Will the rims just bolt on?

Depends if having your FX tell you your tires are flat every time you turn it on is worth $400 or not. IMHO, I think the sensors are more needed in 24' wheels in case wheel damage from pot holes, curbs, etc. causes wheel damage/slow leak given the tire aspect ratio you will need to run to pull that wheel size off.

If you do order them online and the bolt pattern, centerbore AND offset are correct they should just bolt on. From reading above your offset is going to be +30 right? That will be alright and not hit the brake caliper as stock offset is +50.

Why not just take option one and pay a rim shop $100-$150 to swap sensors. My local tire shop swaps sensors for $25 each. I know some places charge up to $50 per wheel, but even $200 is less than $400 difference. And they will of course balance the tires again after the swap.

And yes, if you order correctly, it's total bolt on.

Thanks guys... I was worried about the sensors, but your right I can just have a tire shop swap sensors for less than 400
