Purchased a Black 2016 QX70 this past Christmas. Have always been a fan of the FX and finally got into one. Lurked the forums here for several months, time to be an official registered user!

Looking at the following here in the coming months:
Aero front lip / kit - I always thought the front lip stood out without the rest of the kit on colored QX70s, however I am debating how it will look on black (without rest of kit) - my understanding is you have to ditch the mud guards with the full kit and I definitely do not want to do that!
Upgrade the OEM 20" wheels with the 21" OEM (if I can find a reasonable set)
Exhaust - Debating on extending the G37 Coupe exhaust, or going full aftermarket (I love the old FX growl, and do not want any highway drone :P... Open to recommendations! I saw that Old Blue just swapped out the stock muffler with a Borla, but couldn't find any sound clips or vids of this route)

Welcome to IS, nice ride.
I have the fx 50s that I always wanted for a long time
and I am looking at the ARK exhaust my self in the nearer future.

Old Blue - Is it resemblant of the first gen / g37 growl? I am not looking for anything too aggressive and love the old infiniti note-just dont want anything obnoxious or any highway drone. I am debating on your method or going with an OEM g37 coupe setup and having the tips extended.

PS. I did find some OEM 21x9.5 5 spokes, they're en route. Checking things off the list!
 
No, it doesn’t sound like my FX35, it’s sort of “Roartier!” New word.:tup:

Similar tones, but somehow Zippier, more Formula 1, than muscle car. The sounds are appropriate to the acceleration, not excessive.

It’s Stainless, shaved 20 lb’s I’ll bet. I’m not going to dyno it, but it feels like it probably picks up a few horses .

The one from the G37 ought to be a breeze, I left my stock one at the muffler shop, I’ll bet I’m not the only person to leave them their perfectly good “Stock,” muffler. Buy one there Cheap!

It won’t make a second gen sound like a first gen though.
