Hi all
I’ve just bought a 2015 QX70 3.0 diesel, and it’s a very impressive car. I needed an SUV but wanted something a bit different, and here in the UK these are one of the rarest cars on the road!
There’s one issue with the car and that’s the drivers climate seat. I’ve searched through the forums and can’t find a comparable problem so thought I’d start a new thread. The switch lights up when cooling or heating, and cooling works correctly, but heating doesn’t. I can hear the fan come on VERY quietly irrespective of low/medium/high heat selection, but it seems to keep restarting itself? There’s no heat produced at all and I’m wondering if anybody has had the same issue and how you fixed it?
I’m thinking it might be the control module or maybe a relay? I’ve unbolted the seat and had a good look underneath and can’t see and loose connectors or burned out wiring and I’ve checked the fuse in the trunk. The blower motor doesn’t seem to have a filter on it though, which strikes me as odd. There’s a round piece of mesh that seems to be moulded directly in to the blower housing where I’d expect the filter to be?
Thanks very much in advance,
Sam
