2013 FX37 Towing Capacity ?

Hi,
I am getting mixed information regarding the 2013 FX37 I just purchased. I need to have a towing package installed, and I need to know the max towing capacity. Infiniti is saying it's only 2,000lbs, but that seems very low. I will be towing a 17' bass boat, but even that size boat/trailer/outboard/cargo seems to quickly add up to over 2,000lbs. Any giudance or previous threads would be great.

That is correct, the FX50 is not very much more at 3,500 pounds.

I don't know if it's just regulation or what, but the Canadian FX37 AWD model can tow 3500 lbs. According to the owner's manual of a 2013 FX37 AWD page 9-23:
