2013 center console in a 2009?

I was wondering if any of you know if a 2013 FX35 center console would fit in a 2009 FX50? Also, the used center console I would be buying has black piano trim. Does the trim separate from the center console so I can replace it with the wood colored trim I have on my current console? I'm only replacing the console because I foolishly got into my car with keys clipped onto my belt one day and they scratched the hell out my console by the drivers side seal belt receptacle, lesson learned. Looking at pics it looks like it would fit but I'm not sure, especially about the black piano trim center section popping out so I can replace it with my wood trim.

I know Aaron has a thread where he took his console apart to fix a creaking noise. I was hoping that thread would answer the wood trim question but the pics are no longer visible.

Just thought about the fact hat I would probably also have problems with the connections on the inside of the arm rest. The Ipod, and RCA input jacks are non-existent on the 2013 right? And I'm not sure if the 12V plug is in the same place either.

This is the parts picture for the 2013. It looks the same as the 2009 parts picture and it appears that everything I'm concerned about is interchangeable, including the storage compartment under the arm rest, except for the black piano trim on the sides of the gear shift/cup holder area. For the money I would save I may be willing to deal with that.

Thoughts?

I just picked up a new leather arm rest on eBay. Mine has a repaired tear on it now and I trying to switch them out. Haven't figured out how to remove the current one though yet. Anyone seen this DIY? My search results haven't been too kind so far.

You may want to start with remove the console rear finisher/cover. There are 4 metal clips at each corner of the cover that you just need to pry at each corner to pop it open.
