That wouldn't make sense as seats are heated but it's real leather so those are going to break down fast?

On the S550 the steering is heated and it's indeed real leather as stated by the manufacturers website. I can also say the same about the Infiniti M56s that has optional heated steering and the website says leather wrapped steering. I don't think heat will destroy leather as much as the oils and abrasion from our skin that touch it on a daily basis.
