Looking at the Fluid spec.. does that mean my 2009 FX50S wont need to replace transmission fluid, front differential, transfer case and rear differential fluids ?

I'm at 50,000km right now and was thinking about changing my diff fluids and transfer case fluid

I do mine every 50,000 miles or ~80,000 km.

Sometimes I 30,000 miles or ~50,000 km -- if I have driven in a lot of stop/go traffic.

Fluid is cheap. Transmission, differentials, t-cases are not.

Don't flush, only drain and fill.

Transmission fluid on the 2nd gen FX is maintenance free. But it's still recommended to change it. In the factory service manual it lists it as maintenance free, but it's also listed under the periodic maintenance schedule. The reason why they list it as maintenance free is because the fluid it uses is synthetic and the fluid is sealed off. Thats why there is no dip stick in the engine bay. You have to take it to the dealer to change the fluid because its required to use some special machine to pump and fill the fluid in from the bottom of the car. You also need the Consult III machine to keep an eye out on the transmission temperatures. I had mine changed at 30K miles still just for a piece of mind. A transmission fluid change is very expensive. I paid like $330 I believe. It required like 14 quarts of Nissan Matic S fluid which is like $13 a quart. Plus the labor from the dealer.

Transfer case and front and rear differentials are recommended to change them every 30,000 miles.

How much did you pay to get the front diff, rear diff, and transfer case fluid change for? I'm pretty handy myself so was thinking about just buying the fluids and do it myself if it's just straight drain and fill procedures.

front $80
rear $80
TC $80
transmission $180

These are my local jiffy lube prices.

yes, i never "power flush" only drain and fill. Easy, but messy. Requires a 6 pack of beer and a boring weekend.
