2009 FX - break squeak ?

2009 FX - Brake squeak ?

:wub:2009 FX35 owners: Has anyone noticed a sqeak in the brake pedal? Sometimes it sounds like a 'jingle' type of noise.

I haven't heard the brake pedal speak yet. When exactly do you hear it? When you suddenly slam on the brakes or just everything you press down on the pedal?

I think I know what your talking about. It sounds like air being let out of a pressure tank, or when you open a coke bottle. Maybe the noise is different in your car, but it's coming from the peddle itself not the disks or pads

That's happen in my FX, and just about every car I've driven. That's just the noise of the hydraulics. Kinda a pshhhh sound.
 
man my breaks are pissing me off man! they stop good.. but the squick like crazy every time i stop in a red light... im taking her to the dealer tomorrow she has 15500 miles i don't think it need a break change right?

I was the original poster for this thread. My point was not about the breaks squeaking, it was about the break pedal squeaking every time I touched it.

I got it repaired early on through my Infiniti service center. They had to add some gel or silicone to the break pedal arm. Fixed it. No noise.
 
hey jay i have a quedtion for you how come on different forums the same pic you have is in a tottally different name and has more photos and more thing why does your album of the FX have like 4 different license plates? just a thought and a question.

Yeah I noticed that too. Why do you have pictures of someone elses FX as your own?
 
anyway!!! lol any pads you guys recomend better than factory?? i think im going to end up changing them even if its still not time yet.. the squeaking is driving me nuts! they tell me ceramic is good..??

Make sure you apply silicone grease to the back of the shim surfaces.
