  • On some 2008 Model Year EX vehicles and 2009 Model Year FX vehicles, the steering column comfort adjustment features (tilt and telescopic) may stop working. This issue does not affect one's ability to steer the vehicle. Rather, it only affects the ability to adjust the steering wheel comfort settings. To ensure a high level of customer satisfaction among potentially affected Infiniti owners, Infiniti is conducting a Voluntary Service Campaign to replace the tilt and telescope motors. This service will be performed at no charge for parts or labor. See this bulletin for further detail.

Had this problem myself. The dealer upgraded to a higher spec motor for the tilt and telescoping function.

Brought mine into the dealer past weekend for an unrelated issue and they informed me of this recall. Took them a few hours to install the new motor and got a free car wash/vac along with it.. Sweet

Nice, good to hear man! When I got mine the dealer only took 15 minutes to perform this recall.

sorry to bump this up from the grave but my 09 FX35 steering column just broke today.

edit: Nm i see the tsb number , i will try get it fixed tomorrow.
edit2: i am trying to find a website to print this tsb on but all the ones i see cut off the description. can anyone recommend me a site that shows the full tsb description?

You have to have a paid subscription to get the tsb.

You don't need the full tsb that's for the Infiniti mechanic because it shows repair procedures. All you need is the tsb number.

So i took it down last week to get it fixed. Took one day to determine it was broken(should of only taken 5 seconds) THey said they had to do some 30 point inspection but i dont really think they did cause they didnt mention anything about my TPMS light....anyways I Gave them the TSB number. The tech informed me that it was indeed broken and would have to order the parts for it. However the TSB was not valid for my car even though it clearly says 09 FX. He said something about the TSB was for certain manufacture dates only which my FX wasnt. Didnt matter tho cause my warrantly was still active by only 3 more days or 60000 miles(i was around 56000) whichever came first. Just got my car back yesterday. everything fixed :P

I am living outside of US and have the same problem. I am still looking for a copy of TSB to show to local master to get it fixed. So if you can direct me to a source.. Thanks very much!
