20" FX45 Wheels on 2009 FX50 - Will it Fit?

Hi all,

I have a 2009 FX50 Base with the 21" factory wheels for winter and OEM GTR wheel setup for summer.

The time has come to replace the winter tires. 21" tires are an odd duck size and are quite expensive. I have the opportunity to purchase a nice clean set of 20" factory wheels from the previous gen FX.

Will those wheels clear the front calipers of the 2009?

The wheel specs are

8Jx20 ET50 with 265/50/20 tire

i don't think so not if you have the big akebono calipers it's not a problem on the back
i think you will need at least 15mm spacers in the front to clear the big brakes
the oem 21 inch are 21 x 9.50 even do they are ET50 ofset thats why they clear the big brakes

Thanks for the feedback. With the base FX50 I do have the bigger calipers, I was not sure of caliper size on the prev gen FX45 and if they were similar to the FX50. Anyways, I'd prefer not to run a spacer, so I guess I'll look for a set of GTR wheels in 20" instead!

I'm running Enkei TSR-X 20x9.5 with a 5mm spacer making them +35 offset and they BARELY clear.
