So I see a few of the sexier first gen FX's have what appears to be an aftermarket front bumper. Can anyone tell me what that bumper is called? Im sure I wont find any out there for sale...right?

Good luck getting one, I spent 6 months being jerked around by the shop who makes them about shipping. Eventually I was lucky enough to pick one up used. I get it they are busy, but for every 5 emails I would send them (two weeks in between them each), I would see one response back with some vague bullshit answer. All I wanted was a shipping quote to washington, and I would have paypalled them the money, instead I wasted a whole shit load of time.

OP you might have better luck since you are in the same state as the shop. Go visit Autoexplosion, maybe if you show up on their door step with cash in hand they might take you seriously. The bumper is like 750 bucks or whatever though.

didn't know you got one of those too!!! Not mounted yet, waiting for after winter?

Only recently did it arrive, I still need to get it wrapped, and I was waiting on a new set of headlights to arrive from Jefferson so I could mount them all in one go.

Winter in BC the last couple years has been a joke, so I wasn't worried about that so much, I probably will still mount it. I don't drive my FX in bad weather anymore, I have a pickup truck which is my daily, and I travel for work, so I don't even drive that so much.

oh yea that's right, your winters there are a joke compared to the shit show I have to deal with here haha
I am considering getting a new OEM bumper next year how bad mine is from winter and rock chips but i don't know how well they can match the paint to the rest of the car, i don't want it to be too noticeable that it has been painted.

It's been a while since I came on and wanted to share this chop I was playing around with earlier this year. Would look pretty ridiculous .. Pre runner fx?

Sorry for the photo of the screen. Oh and the 2nd gen headlights. Lulz

I am appreciative of all the help you gave me, everytime you got involved they would get back to me right away. I was just tired of having to rely on you in order to get answers out of the guy. It's a burden on you, and not how business should be conducted.

I'm not pissed, i'm dissapointed. I know the awesome work this shop does, and now that I have a bumper I know its a good product as well. It's just unfortunate that the distance between us is so much that I can't just swing by and talk to them in order for them to see I am serious. They might have thought I might just be some guy wasting their time, and I don't intend on buying or whatever, not sure what the problem was.

The other reason I am disappointed is because I wanted badly in order to have a nice smooth transaction, you know more than others about my plans for future body work on this car, and AutoExplosion was my number 1 pick for shops to do the work, because of the amazing work they have done, as well as the fact that they have previous experience building yours and Viet's FX's. This isn't to say I won't still be making the journey to visit and see what they say, nor will I take them out of the running, but certainly if future transactions are going to be similar to this bumper experience that's something that seriously would not work for me.

Im actually going to be in the area of this shop next week... I may just drop on in and see if they have any laying around :).
HumbertoCALI - Do you work there?
