18" on FX50s for Winter

Hi,

I went to my Dealership yesterday, and I asked him about putting on 18" wheels+tires on the fx50s for the winter.

He said the suspension on the fx50s is very different from the ones on fx35 and that one of their customer said that when he installed 18" on his fx45 (note fx45) it was somewhat wobbly. That it goes front to back wobbling a lot more than normal and feels very wavy...

What do you guys think?

that's bull... the only real concern is to get a set of 18's that will clear those huge brakes, as many will not....

it will feel softer, more tire roll in turns & less agressive handling, but that's obvious & not a defect of the 18's, that's simply because you'll have 1 1/2" more sidewall with 18's than you do with 21's...

Someone in Alaska did it, he has the Sports Edition F10 silver with winter tires!
I might do the same as I am having a hard time finding cheap mags that will clear the brakes.
 
the wobble hes talking about is probably just from the tire flexing of the bigger sidewall on the 18" tire...as turbo said the only problem you should have it clearing the brakes
