09 loose mirrors

Both mirrors on my 09 are loose, just enough that passing trucks will cause movement. Also a slight rattle. Is this covered under 60K/48mos? Is this a DYI bolt to tighten? Maybe a 1/16" movement.

ive had that issue on my left mirror, funny enough i have it on my right 1 now too, i dont know exactly what they did but i noticed they put a new mirror because it doesnt say that objects are closer than they appear thing, but it def was something they fixed free of charge since im under warranty

DON'T let the dealer replace your mirror by the way. It will just happen again. A permanant fix is to follow the guide I posted above.

Took to dealer ....................he was thinking new mirrors.........I mentioned this web site and popping puddle lite cover to tighten three screws......fix was 10 minutes. Thanks guys for great info - both from me & Wendle Infiniti.

My passenger side mirror was loose and I attempted to do the DIY, but using an allen key as directed, I just couldn't pop the cover off as I didn't want to risk breaking it. So in the end I just brought the car to the dealer and they replaced the mirror minus the housing.

FX is really wide car, especially in Taiwan, traffic is very heavy, rear-view mirror very easy hit
