08 to 05 shifter swap

Can I swap an 08 FX35 shift knob and bezel/console cover into an 05 FX35 and would it be plug and play? I like the 08 chrome shifter surround better. Thanks

As I remembered there minor adjustment and wiring. Such as the light on the shifter. You have to find a wire under the console where there is 12V power when the car is running and use that to power the shifter light. Here is my 04 with 08+ shifter and bezel.

In mind, 08' and up always been chrome.
