can anyone tell me if a full cat-back exhaust is offered by HKS? I think I made my decision on the exhaust I want to buy only to find out they only offer the rear section. HKS website has a full cat for the 03 thru 05. I see no benifit in rear section only. what should I do? :mad:
 
Go on ebay and by the Ztek Stainless Steel Midpipe only. It will mate right up to the HKS or stock rear section. Trust me I know. Great quality too...only other option is custom since the HKS exhaust for our ride has been discontinued.
 
Ztek is very questionable. I'd stay away. HKS mid might be a special order from Japan last I checked. But that was a while ago
 
HKS mid-pipe is same diameter as OEM, cheap fix is remove the resonator and put in a high flow resonator. If you have a FX45, no resonator is needed but you will get drone in a FX35.

Also, Y-pipe is the key here, Ztek might be your only option, I don't think it's a huge risk trying it out. I would.
 
Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but after a lot of searching I still haven't found my answer...

Does anyone know whether or not the 03-05 catback (midpipe and rear) will fit on an 08 FX35? If not, why?

Also, I have found the rear section only (p/n 34005-BN002), but it always states 03-06. Can anyone confirm this will indeed work on an 08? There is nothing listed specific to the 08 on the HKS website.

Also, in case anyone is interested, FWIW I came across the shutokoengineering website (can't post links) which seems to have some pretty good prices on HKS, and they appear to sell the midpipe separately (which I saw some people interested in while searching through the threads)

It will fit 2003-2008. From what I understand, HKS only posted years they tested it on.
