03 ipod connection options?

So I bought a new cd last night "limp bizkit significant other" and put it in and it skips thinking that i need to clean my cd player lens. then i got to thinking. how can I hook up and i pod. I did my searching on here but all I found was kit and tips for hooking up to the newer stuff with nav and a total dif set up as me. I know I can use my tape player but im not sure how the sound quality will be? so is thee any other place i can hook an i pod up to with out using the tape player and a transmiter? thanks fo your help guys
 
You can buy adapters that plug directly into the back of the factory radio. They utilize the satellite port. I have a portable Sirius radio I connect that way. When I am in the car I press SAT on the radio to listen to the satellite radio, just like a factory install. Of course the other buttons, such as channel, don't work.

Anyway, the adapter has RCA jacks for an input so you could hook up any device you want. If I remember right, it was about $125 for the adapter.
 
so what your saying is that there is an aux input in the back of the stereo i can buy this adapter and plug it into the sat aux and listen to the ipod that way? SWEET! lol sounds easy,lol you guys saved my life on this one now if i can beg my wife for an ipod for christmas :wink (2):
