03-08 FX35 AWD belt diagram

just replaced my alternator belt! what a piece of cake... I didn't even have to take off the wind shield.. I just used 15mm on the I/D pulley (A) and a 13mm on the bottom bolt (B). I also used wrench/ adjustable beak bar to get to the bottom bolt (B). Btw, I just torqued them until the belt had about a 1/4 inch of play, had the wife turn on the FX35 and fine tuned it until the squeaking went away...

Good stuff! They aren't hard but if u live in the Midwest, sometimes they are so rusted and frozen. Ive seen plenty of broken ones. You should of done the ac belt too.

how do you know its tight enough?

I like to go by feel, see how tight it was before I took off the old one by pushing down on them. And if they don't squeal on startup.
