Mechanics say the darnest sh!t

Pulled into a legitimate looking transmission shop next to my house today for a price to install a Transgo shift kit during a transmission fluid change.
"That your fx?"
"Yeah."
"Ohhh, I wouldn't put a shift kit on that."
"Why? Infinitis or?"
"New cars man. One day it's working and one day it's not. Makes the car go all haywire."
[emoji58]
"Thanks."

These guys... Who else's got one

I purchased several OEM add on accessories awhile back and was getting a quote for labor to put on each part. My local Infiniti dealer had the balls to tell me that the rear bumper guard (yes, the stainless stick on one that sits on the bumper) was 2 hours labor @ $115 an hour. I proceeded to tell them to go F themselves.

Took me all of 5 minutes even while taking pictures to do a DIY write up.

They also said 4 hours for the front aero, 3 for the sides, and 2 more for the rear. Another 2 hours for illuminated kick plates.

I had a tranny shop do my Transgo kit for $800....this included the actual kit which they provided and the install which was one day and
it was ready the next day. If you can DIY...kit will run you around $250-$300

Local infiniti dealership wanted something like 1100 to service my AC or some shiet. heck ill live with the semi cold ac and a foul smell get myself some brand new tires instead.

Brought my car to a local shop for State inspection. Dude on the counter told me I need new drive belts, coolant change and new set of wipers. He said I won't pass state inspection with worn belts and dirty coolant fluid. I rolled my eyes, asked for my keys back and told him I did the belt change only about a month and the coolant flush just a few weeks ago.

On my way out of the door, I turned my head and told him try harder next time.
