G37 tanable axle back on 09+ FX

I only wanted an axle back and found the top speed one (tanabe replica), which was inexpensive, so I bought it. I then found a deal on a g37 tanabe axleback.
I installed it myself and it's almost a full bolt on. The only problem is that the left muffler has a front and rear hanger, and the front one does not fit so I had to saw it off, which is OK because the Right side muffler only has the rear hanger.
Hope this is helpful for other 2nd generation owners who want to consider g37 exhausts, as there is a much bigger selection than with the FX.
It sounds great but unfortunately my wife thinks its too loud so I am going to have to put the oem muffler back on and probably end up selling the tanabes. It especially sucks considering the time I put into uninstall/install.
Just want to share the experience and show others it could be done.
I have under 10 posts so i can't upload pics but you can go to photobucket and check out my album (user name is willsFx)

Can you post a video of how it sounds bro, that would be awesome, perhaps a YouTube Video

Ya that would be great to see it installed and also would be nice to see how it sounds as well

when someone put a g37 exhaust on a fx 35 it needs to be extended ...but when you put a fx35 exhaust on a 50 it needs to be cut ...is the g37 exhaust and the fx50 exhaust the same size by any chance.??

Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G 2

Sorry guys. Here are pics of it installed. I didn't have the tips extended yet because I was not sure whether I would like the sound or not. I love the sound and the Mrs says its loud and obnoxious, so I guess I will have to sell them. Wasted time and money....

I don't have any rev videos because my car is not broken in yet, with only 300 miles on the speedo

Once you extend the tip flush with the bumper it will make it a lot quieter inside the car right? This is experience with a 1st gen though.

Yeah, it would be much quieter because the exhaust air is basically blowIng into the bottom of my car right now.
It would still be around the same volume as the setup on 08 g35x and I am going for something slightly louder than stock

That sounds mean!

Have you thought about using the G37 coupe stock exhaust? It's not loud enough to complain about it but it sounds alot better than the FX stock exhaust.
