Tinting or spraying rear lights?

What's better tinting or spraying? I've asked around tint places they said its too hard to tint them, they can only spray them. Does it really matter if i get them sprayed black?

it's been discussed so many times on here.
It's a pain in the ass to get vinyl to work, so most people get them painted, which is a better finish anyway.

Rattle can spray will fade, while the pro stuff is much better. Some 'kids' re-do it themselves every few months when it needs it. (or until their Civic falls apart). I'd spend the money and do it right once.

Thank u guys for the info, I'm going to get them painted!! I got some quotes, between $60-$120. All of them do the same exact thing so not sure why sucha difference... What do you guys think is a reasonable price?

Ask them the prep they do before and what quality tint they use.

Also if they have done this on tail lights.

And last, if the tint they use is hi-heat.

If possible have them do a test shot to make sure you get the exact warmth/coolness of color AND determine how many coats - how dark you want it to be. As an example I chose 2 coats on my tails/back up lights and three coats on my third brake light/bumper reflectors.

It's worth it to pay more, there is prep work involved and finish work. If they skimp on either, the tail lights will look bad. The cheaper jobs will tend to skimp on the prep and finish work because time is money. For reference, where I'm at, a quality tail light paint job will run at least $150. I would never pay $60...

I'm a little late to this game, but I paid $60 for each light to be sprayed, and they turned out awesome. I would feel weird paying so little for something like this.

I say use good vinyl tint, to keep it reverseable. I agree painted is longer lasting and UV resistant if using pro quality materials. Just my .02

yeah, average tail tint done right, with a quality tinted urethane clear costs on average around $125 for tails at my shop... $60 is less than cost to do them right, expect anywhere from $100-$150 done right...

The headlights are great at night. I don't notice a difference, the light goes right through. But if there is a difference, it is minute.
