DIY for door panel removal?

Can anyone provide instructions or a DIY to remove the interior door panel. My driver side power door lock went out on me so I'm going to change the actuator myself. Can't afford the dealer. They quoted me about $400-$500. My car only has 26k miles on it but it's out of warranty. 2004. :frown: Thanks in advance. -Charles
 
Dam, nice low mileage! Door panel is fairly easy to remove. The inner skin before being able to get to the lock mechanism shouldn't be too hard once the panel is off.
 
im having this same problem.. i can't afford to take it to the stealership.. the driver side & the rear passenger side failed on me.. well can someone provide me with the best actuator for our FX ?

im trying my best to keep this FX alive..
 
revival!!

my driver side rear door handle cracked and broke off.. now it looks like there's a black piece that was attached to the handle itself (like a sliding guide) that fell inside the door itself.. has anyone since this done a legit DIY with pictures.. i kinda want to see the mechanism itself from within the door to see if i recognize that part
