I think I have it narrowed down to the Borla or Ark system.
I do not want anything loud. I think the stock is just too quite and would like something a little raspier (if that makes sense). No drone is my main concern. I think these two are drone free?
I have read many threads and just can't get an idea if the Ark is louder than the Borla?
Can anyone chime in about drone and how loud these might be compared to each other?

I see the ARK is 2.5" and the Borla is 2.25". Not sure if the smaller diameter would help low end torque.

Not sure about the Invidia... Sounded loud in the video clip I saw. That is the only reason I eliminated that one. Pls correct me if I'm wrong.

Borla is a lot louder than Ark mostly due to the Ark system having a great resonator system. Both are badass, though. All up to you when it comes to personal preferences.

I'm installing my Ark exhaust tomorrow! Also, in my opinion, I think The Ark setup is more aesthetically pleasing; it really brings out the FX's great ass!
 
Leaning towards Ark.
Just told they are out of stock. Anyone know where I can get the ARK kit for the 2012 FX50?

You can do what Peej is doing. Get the 35 exhaust and have a shop fab up a piece of flange + <2" pipe + flange. Which Peej got quoted $30 to do.
 
Resonators, etc are the same from the 35 to 50 exhaust?

I'd like to pick up the flange and gasket and the ARK for the 35. Know where I can get the Flange and gasket?
Just spoke to ARK, the 35 is in stock!
 
My two cents; wait and do it right. Ark is supposed to be getting a new shipment of FX50 exhausts in July/August.

I haven't installed my 3.7 exhaust yet due to schedule conflicts. If you're going to jump the gun on a part that isn't designed for your make at least let me go through the headache of installation first. :)
 
Just got back from the exhaust shop. Discovered that the 3.7 ARK exhaust can't be refitted to the 5.0 without cutting and I have no intention of butchering it. Look for mine to be listed in the for sale section sometime today.

Dam are you serious, that really sucks. I thought it was simple to install based on ARKs instructions

I thought i saw like 3 ark sustems for the 50 on ebay for 1600 each... Well thats before i went full blown custom with mine.
 
Yeah I even spoke with Lerry about the differences between the two. I thought I was golden. However the mechanic held the midpipe up at the hanger while another held the front pipe and it was clearly not going to work.
 
I clicked "BUY" on Ebay for the ARK exhaust part number sm1105-0207g.
I received an email stating that it was paid in full and in stock. I call bullshit. I'm sure I'll get an email or call in the next couple days stating that it is out of stock and back ordered.
I'll keep you posted.

I bought my Ark direct from ArkPerformanceUSA and had it ceramic coated, just picked it up from the coater today. The distributor said it is a direct fittment for the FX50, so we'll see (I thought the 35/37/50 shared the same stock exhaust minues headers). going to have it installed hopefully this week, I'll try to report back on the fitments, sound and etc with pictures and vids, but can't upload just yet because I'm a newb on this forum..

Yep, I was refunded my $ from Utrarevparts due to the ARK exhaust not being available for the FX50. I knew that was coming. They are hoping for late July-early Aug possibly.
 
Just spoke to (Mike) @ARK today and he said to try back in mid August when the container comes, then they should be able to fill FX50 orders.
