Its normal for an open end lug nut to rust inside in the climate like yours. The inside is not protected at all.

I came across these NRG spline drive lug nuts. Looks like each nut is a locker.

$125 seems to be the universal retail price for this 21 piece set. I was in the K&N store today and they had them for $125 plus 50% off sale going on right now. These are forged aluminum and come in a variety of colors.
I wonder how good these are.

Now I noticed that this ad says for off road use only.
I wonder why? Maybe not heavily tested enough to stick their necks out for liability reasons??
Thanks, so it sounds like some guys are using the wrong lug nuts on them. You are correct, they do use the shank style lug nuts. Most newer Infiniti's and Nissans do, I believe they swapped to that style on the 2nd gen G's. Did they do it on the FX? People often get confused between the two style since they thread on the same. But the contact area for a conical lug nut on a wheel that requires a shank style will be smaller.
Holy cow, I keep getting told opposite answers.GTR wheels use the acorn/tapered style ...2nd gen nuts will not work with them
