THAT is soon cool, I watched your vid about 5-6 times. Looks killer too.
 
Thats soooo sick rip! Great job! I gotta get me one of them remote starts. I heard theres one that plugs inline right into the ignition switch and you just reprogram it to your existing key. My friend did it to his new x5

Themadnewfie...this is the one I purchased on eBay. It's called the Fortin Evo...works like a charm and comes flashed for the FX. Install took about 3 hours. I Def recommend it.

Yup the remote starter your friend has on his X5 seems similar to what I used. The link is posted above. Def worth the $ and is pretty cheap too.

THAT is really cool. How involved was the installation job? How difficult was it to program the module? Can it be a DIY job?

I had a shop install mine but yes it can easily be a DIY job. There is step by step install instructions for the FX on the Fortin website so the install can be easily done if you got the skills.
 
Finally got to install the rear diffuser and front splitter that I got off Lerry. It was a lot of work to repair them and make them perfect but came out awesome. I also decided to paint them gloss black instead of matte. I am also working on some custom side splitters as we speak....More pics to follow. I went ahead and also painted all the lower textured plastic trim all around the FX iridium blue including the rear bumper. Here are some iPhone pics
