My seat won't move (front to back). It will go up and down and the back with tilt okay. The seat is getting power as I can hear the "clicking. Anybody else experience this? Help!!

my passenger seat is having problems lately, the shoulder part will not incline, or will literally stop then work again..

Well, I went to Infiniti of Norwood today and they said that the motor needs replacing.
LIke in that thread that Zebra included, it's 3 motors and the track assembly all in one.
Its like $790. Just for the part!! Oy vie!!
I almost shat myself when he told me that.

Oh boy.. I have an '06 FX35 also, how many miles on yours?

So, do you hear any noise from the motor while you pushing the button?

Just wondering if it's just clicking or there is some grinding noise also, like the motor try to push it( I had the same thing and replacing the gear fixed the problem).

Thanks, and the dealer refused to install my sport pedals. I currently have a back injury and I just can't get in that position to install them. Strange that they sell them but dont install the. I abused a 2012 G37x for them tho

I had the same problem. My seat stopped moving back and forth. I took the whole bit apart and all I need was the new little grooved wheel that the motor hooks on as the threads were gone but Infiniti doesn't sell just that part. You have to buy the whole damn thing and they said it was like $1k. I haven't gotten it fixed yet... when it warms up I may try to figure something out myself... All I need is $10 worth of metal in the right shape... STEALERS!

The same thing happened to my FX driver's seat forward/reverse motor. I replaced the old seat track with a new seat track that has all the new motors included. I did the work myself using the FSM. Here is a link to where I bought my seat track for about $500. I used your model year FX in the search.http://www.infinitipartsusa.com/2006-Infiniti-FX35-Base-Tracks-Components-s/8227.htm?searching=Y I did the work in about 3 hours. Hope this helps.:good: P.S. you can tap the forward/reverse seat motor in the front of the seat with a small hammer while pressing the seat switch at the same time to adjust seat if your motor is bad, however it only works for a short while before you have to tap the motor again.

How do I know if I need a gear or a new seat motor?

You can check your seat motor by taking a small hammer and tapping the seat motor while holding the seat switch at the same time. If your seat moves, then the motor bushings are bad and the hammer impacts are helping the bushing make contact inside the motor. A bad gear would stick even if you tap the motor with a hammer or not.
