2003 – 2008 Infiniti FX35 FX45 Coilover Group Buy is live.
This is your opportunity to buy quality Coilovers at a rock bottom price with warranty. I will outline everything I can to make this the most professional and efficient group buy possible.
Manufacturer:
Kido Racing Industrial Company Ltd
No.43-16, Zhoughu, Linkou Dist, New Taipei City, Taiwan 244, (R.O.C.)
Website: http://www.kido-racing.com
Management Certification:
ISO 9001:2000
ISO 9001:2008
ISO 14001:2004
Why:
You should know how and why I got this deal for us. I agreed to help manage the group buy (he doesn’t have time) and I will also provide him with installation pictures and a DIY for him to use on his eBay site (Thanks Handy_Andy & Chris for offering to assist me with install). I did everything in my power to do the correct due diligence on the seller, the product quality and buyer protection. This is hours in communication with the seller, hours of research on Kido Racing, hours of research of reading up on forums where others have used Kido Racing Coilovers and hours spent talking to PayPal. Now, I can’t guarantee anything, but I am buying a set for myself and putting them on my car if that counts for anything. I don’t put inferior products on my car nor put my money at risk.
Research:
Feel free to Google Kido Racing Coilovers yourself, but reports are positive. Also, people from Asia-Pacific mention Kido Racing is one of the most popular and trusted brands in the area. Read up on Kido Racing’s eBay profile, which many coilover sets have been sold and 100% positive feedback – which I have to say is rare for a seller from Asia-Pacific. There usually is at least 1 unhappy buyer, but 100% happy buyers for over 171 transactions – all have 5 star perfect ratings on item as described, communication, shipping time and shipping and handling charges.
PayPal:
I have always used PayPal and trusted it, but you are open to your own opinion. I called and verified the PayPal seller ID is verified and legitimate. Also, more information than you want to know, but you are 100% covered by PayPal. You have 45 days to file a dispute if you never receive the item or the item is significantly not as described. The payment is then placed on hold and within 10 days, the seller has to respond by providing a tracking number or full refund. If there is no response, PayPal will close the dispute and 100% refund to the buyer.
If the item is not as described, the seller has 10 days to provide a full refund, ask for the product to be returned or give a partial refund, which you can reject. If the 11[SUP]th[/SUP] day no response, 100% full refund. If there is a disagreement, the review goes to PayPal and PayPal decides what to do and you explain your case to them with proof of pictures, etc… PayPal makes a decision in 30 days if you get full funds back or partial return.
On top of that, I personally ask you use a credit card with full online purchase protection. I believe major credit cards have it, I know my AMEX and VISA both do, but you can always call to confirm. This adds an extra layer. My AMEX is 100% protection. This way you can dispute with PayPal and your credit card.
This is a worst case scenario, but only explained to show that I “have our bases covered.”
Payment:
You will receive an invoice directly from Kido Racing via PayPal. MUST use confirmed shipping address.
Cost:
I negotiated a final cost of USD XXX shipped to both USA and Canada.
Shipping:
EMS/TNT/OCS/UPS/DHL Express with Tracking Number. Again, MUST use confirmed shipping address.
Warranty:
12 months full warranty on all parts, starting from receipt of Coilovers. Please print out and save delivery confirmation from the tracking number as PROOF of when you received, that is when your warranty starts. Broken/failed item is replaced free of charge and shipped free of charge. Only pictures of failed/broken item are required. You contact me or the seller to get you the warranty replacement.
Replacement:
Shocks should last on average 60,000 miles up to 100,000 miles, all depending on driving style. Pricing for people who purchase from this group buy ONLY is. Note this is a negotiated discount for purchases of the group buy only. Prices are more expensive for non Group Buy buyers:
1 shock = USD 155 shipped
4 shocks = USD 505 shipped
Coilovers:
Front Coilovers: Pillow ball Mount
Front Spring Rate: 10kg/mm standard rate
Rear Coilovers: Rubber Mount
Rear Spring Rate: 12kg/mm standard rate
● Mono-tube shock design
● 40 levels of dampening adjustability can be set to any preference
● 44 mm linear characteristic internal piston
● Italian IP F.A 5W made very high viscosity index guarantees efficient shock-absorbing action at any ambient temperature
● Lower bracket height adjustability prevents the needs to adjust the spring perch offering the max shock-absorbing travel
● SAE9254 cold-bent spring is designed to optimize the balance between performance and comfort
Spring rates:
Custom is available, but if you have no idea what you want, I will order you 10KG front and 12KG rear. This is what my research calls for the best street comfort yet occasional track ready setup. The standard for Megan Racing, BC Racing and even Kido is 8KG/12KG setup. After discussion and review with Kido, Kido’s feedback from Taiwan FX clubs was 10KG/12KG was a better street setting.
Your shocks WILL be valved correctly for the spring rate you choose.
For those who do want custom rates, this will help:
Specs:
2003-2008 FX35 RWD – 4,046 lbs (curb weight) 53% (front) /47% (rear) weight distribution
2003-2008 FX35 AWD – 4,204 lbs (curb weight) 53% (front) /47% (rear) weight distribution
2003-2008 FX45 AWD– 4,488 lbs (curb weight) 54% (front) /46% (rear) weight distribution
Eibach SUV PRO-KIT # 6366.540 which reviews state they are firmer than OEM and H&R’s are:
Front: 171 lb/in = 3.05 kg/mm (linear)
Rear: 361 lb/in to 573 lb/in = 6.44 kg/mm to 10.23 kg/mm (progressive)
Kido’s standard FX race setup is Front 13 or 15KG with 12KG rear if that gives you a guide. Note that a race setup handles like a jackhammer to use Turbocad’s analogy. Again, if you don’t know much about spring rates, don’t mess with it and go with my suggestion of 10KG/12KG street. I’m only offering custom spring rates to help those that want the best coilovers for their cars, not to make this more complicated.
Humberto runs 8KG/18KG, but note he is in California with nice roads and he drives aggressively. Turbocad also tracked his FX and found out a stiffer rear is in order for best handling, so all the numbers make sense.
Pictures:
I don’t have actual pictures, but hence his need for me to provide him with some. They will look similar to this and in color:

Also, if you want coilovers for another car on this list, just let me know and I will find out if it can be done with this "group buy":

In case you want to save USD 20, you can purchase standard upper strut mounts made of iron steel instead of aluminum pillow ball mounts. The main difference is the pillow ball mounts allow for extra camber adjustment, if you decide to go really low.
Group buy is on until further notice. Kido has the right to end this group buy, but currently they have decided to leave it open.
