There are headaches involved with Group Buys as we have seen. I have been talking directly with a few factories in Taiwan that makes coilovers for 2003-2008 Infiniti FX35/FX45 to provide our members with a group buy opportunity.
Let me say I've spent a considerable time already and trying to finalize the prices and with a reputable vendor.
I don't want to waste your time or mine. Coilovers are expensive, there is nothing around that. Typical MSRP for coilovers is around USD 1,000.
This is just a list for dedicated and committed people actually looking to buy coilover at a discount. This is not a commitment to buy, but I am handling this group buy and ask you take that into consideration.
If you don't know already, I do my homework. This will probably be the most simple, yet complex group buy as I am negotiating pricing of coilovers, pricing of shipping, pricing of shipping if going to same location (cheaper), full warranty with replacement sent at no cost with no need to send in broken unit (only asking for pictures to prove broken unit), replacement shocks at a discount for those who buy coilovers (I would say service life should be around 60,000 miles give or take driving style) to name a few.
I am also working out pricing for not your standard "we need 5, we need 10" or any "high" number. This will be a ladder scale, so the group buy is LIVE, at one buyer. Discount for EACH additional buyer, so this makes it easier to hit numbers.
In addition, I am vetting out the vendors. Not only what they can offer us, but their responsive time, ability for me to get a hold of them via email or phone.
That being said, add your name to the list and also City and State the coilovers will be shipped to. If you don't feel comfortable giving your city, just pick a major city near you if possible. This is because this helps others see if there are any shipping discounts, as what I have seen so far, it is a material savings.
