I wonder how this compares to the DDM HID kit? More expensive but better quality?
 
I used to run/sell DDM. They work good for the first part. after about a month you will see the bulbs start to louse there color, and you will have ballast problems ( firing when you turn your lights on ). These are a full digital ballast, and ultra slim so its easy to mount them. The problem I had with DDM was I had to replace mine 5 times in 2 months, and you have to take everything out, send it in, wait for them to get it, wait for them to test it, then wait for them to send you the new kit. All in all takes about 2 weeks plus. And you pay for shipping there and back. Also if you look and see were the kits are $40.00, then the error code eliminators are $15. Your right up to the cost of these. These are very good quality, I have been using them even before I have sold them, so I'm not just saying that. I hope that kinda helps. Plus if you ever have a problem, you e-mail me and I take care of it.

I have a quick question. On my wifes matrix every time the lights go on one of them will light up and the other will flicker and go out or not light up at all. I know it's not the bulb or ballast because I swapped them and they both work. Almost seems like it doesn't get enough wattage to fire both up at the same time (I even got a fresh battery). Do you think this set will fix the problem? I was considering the DDM before I saw this.

You need a relay to go directly to the battery for power. There isn't enough power at startup. If you have an analog ballast, a digital one will help as the startup amps are lower.
 
On the Matrix it NEEDS a relay harness to go from the battery, the cars control model is not letting it get the power it needs. Also that is what happens with some of the cheaper kits, is the ignitors don't work very well, or if its a non digital ballast then they take more amps to fire.

Are they factory HID's or some other kit? And I think this kit would work out very well for you. For that car you would need the Relay Harness and that is $10 extra but it will keep what is going on from doing it anymore. Any company you get HID's from you will need that.

This is true. I have a DDM kit in my foglights right now and the color is starting to look washed out. They have horrible customer service too. There is a reason their bulbs are so cheap, it's because their made cheap. You get what you pay for....

Its sad but true. I'm only carrying DDM because SOOOO many people want the cheap stuff :/ but I try and push the better stuff. And I know you will be very happy with this set up. Plus you will get personal service and support.
 
FYI, I don't know if any of you have used DDM and have had good luck. But I used them and they SUCK! I bought a so called motorcycle HID headlight kit for my 09 Yamaha 1900 Raider that was supposed to be plug and play. After receiving the kit (which was from china with no instructions, rather than America like they try and make people think) it was nothing more than a car kit with one bulb and ballast. The wires had to be cut and spliced and extended, unless of-course your motorcycle has the battery installed in the headlight bucket! After going to radio shack and spending about 30 bucks for all the necessary supplies and getting everything installed it fired and worked great, but it started taking 2-3 times to start to get it to fire. After calling and spending hours on the phone with their crappy customer service they said the warranty was void because I had cut the wires! I explained that it was impossible to install it on any bike without doing so but they still would not cover the kit. Needless to say they charged me another 50 bucks and sent me 2 new ballast that were supposed to be bench tested and 1 of the 2 didn't even work. I called again and bought another kit and tried again. In short, I spend a few hundred bucks and the system still didn't work right and I did finally get them to refund me the 50 bucks for the ballast after weeks of phone calls. I ended up giving the kit's to a friend on another forum that was an electrical engineer. He ended up having to install a microprocessor that fired repeatedly every few milliseconds to get the system to fire right. IMO, I would find a different source for your HID Kits!

Thanks for that. And that is why I won't advertise DDM. I sell them, but I wont advertise them, and you WILL NOT have that problem with these.
 
Is it possible to switch the headlight with these kit? I notice there are two light bulbs in the headlight. I have my fog light running on DDM, they do lose color a bit and sometimes they are off when I start the engine. I have to turn off and on the switch to make sure they are on. THIS IS ANNOYING.
 
I'm not sure what you mean by switch the headlight? If you have two light bulbs then you have a bulb for low, and a bulb for the high.

Looking up your bulbs, it will take the D2S bulbs. They are made to work with cars with factory HID systems. As far as your fog lights it takes the H8, and we have that kit also. I hope I answered your question.
