As the title indicates, i was thinking about purchasing couple of braces, which ones have you had and felt a difference on the corners, etc. Also i already got a strut bar.

Thanks :smug:

I am sure others will chime in but, they work together as a whole system, to each is own but the first one that will make a good difference if you do not have one already, strut bar brace. then maybe the 4 point one that sits under the fx.

I put each brace on one at a time and drive with it a couple days. Honestly the front lower and the rear tie, I really don't feel any difference with them on. Maybe the 4 point ladder and the real lower lateral override their effectiveness?

The Mid brace really make the ride sort of a "happy bumpy" for lack a better term. It a good feel of bumps. All the other braces I feel it when I corner. Will all these braces damage the frames? I would think by adding more braces, it helps the frame more than damage (if there any).

LA-Fx35-
Just got the H&R's, im going to install them soon. Wanted to know when do you really feel the springs and the braces kick in? High speeds? low speed cornering? Also driving BMW's they were pretty stable and stiff, is this what the FX becomes after the braces? or even better?

I would describe the ride as more stable and grounded with all the braces on. In comparing the H&R to the Eibach springs, the H&R will give you a less firmness that the Eibach. With all your questions, I sense you're not looking for a stiffness. H&R is definitely a good choice for you if I guessed what you after correctly. You will feel the springs the minute to drive on them. The braces is more for cornering. The Mid brace is the only brace that change the ride characteristic in a good way. Don't forget the tire also contribute to the ride quality too.

Low speeds around town ride is very civil, the BMW style stiffness you are thinking of comes from spring rates. Low speed around tight corners car is noticeablebly improved, higher speed cornering is dramatic. As LA said the happy wheel hp is interesting the bracing seems to remove the OE pothole jumping bumping and replsce it with controlled bumps it feels so much better. I would slso say the more braces the better as they as function better as a group but LA has hit on the key pieces.

Great info Guys, thanks. If you guys were going to buy and install in order, which would be first-last? Im looking forward getting two significant braces..

Just as everyone says, the stb and rear lateral brace are a must. I had just the stb for about a year, then put the rear lateral on a few months ago. Wow, did I notice an amazing difference in handling, especially high speeds and cloverleafs.

I would definitely get the mid brace, but I can't because I'm pretty much at the lowest my FX can go on coils and I will be scraping it. So those three braces are a must in my opinion. The rear tie probably won't "do that much", but if you don't mind spending the extra $100 or so, then get that put on at the same time.

Man, I'm going to miss out on the GT Spec deal low on cash till 15th. Oh well, I'll just try my luck then. It just came at a time I bought the unichip and now need the Wideband, i'm pretty much tapped out till next week or so.
