Need help with blown fuse!!!

I need help. The ground cable pulled out of my aftermarket amp and touched another wire and shorted out my entire dash/gauge cluster and instrument panel lights! The navi screen and stereo are also off, and my A/C is stuck on full blast (the climate control buttons also do not work, but those lights are still on). Anyone know which fuse controls these items? I looked through all 3 fuse boxes, and the ones that were even close to what I was looking for were checked and all still good. Does anyone know what this fuse would be labeled as? I read through this forum and also my entire owner's manual, but there are no specific fuse locations listed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx!!

This happened to me on my 2nd Gen while I was modding the media center.. Exact same symptoms with the a/c on full without lights etc... You've blown a fuse, I'm sure of it.. It's in the driver's side kick panel, check each one carefully.. I believe mine was labeled media/radio or something close.. It didn't look like it was blown, but I replaced it anyway and viola all things running. Good luck.

Exactly. Next to your break is a fuse panel. It's the one labeled AUDIO/MIRROR -10A.View attachment 2124

Hey guys...I was using a 12v car charger to plug into my armrest to charge my phone....I just bought a nee Belkin dual port car charger so I can charge two devices at once....like my phone and ipad. I jst unplugged the old one and plugged in the belkin and there was click sound by my feet and the lights flickered...blown fuse. I tried the cigarette lighter by the clock...the old obe worked and then tried the belkin and the same thing!! Now both ports don't work. Anyone know what fuses I need to replace?? Is the Belkin too much amperage?? I see many people using these dual chargers...can we not use these in the FX?? Please help :(

Damien, check the Cigar Lighter fuse in the driver footwell fuse panel. 15A is plentiful to handle the dual port adapter.

Thx Andy...I will be buying new fuses and I was able to locate them. Looks like I will need two new 15As...for the cigar lighter and the front power socket.

After reading some reviews about this Belkin charger...it appears this is a common issue with this thing. I will be returning it and getting something else. Disappointing as Belkin is usually known for making quality accessories....so any members out there looking to buy one of these DO NOT buy the Belkin
dual port charger!!

Hi guys,
Ok so I go to Pep Boys and buy some 15A fuses...not realizing the ones used in the FX are the micro blade kind. So when I pull the kick panel I see that
they provide a spare in the fuse panel from the factory...I pull it out and it's a mini size not a micro size and is too big!! Huh...why the hell would they provide
a spare that is not the right size?? Curious if anyone else had this issue with their spare fuses??

So now my local Pep Boys does not carry the micro size only the standard or mini....geez. Anyone know where I can pick these up aside from the dealer and without having to order them online?? Thx.

How about auto zone, advanced auto, napa, acme, or even walmart.

Thx...I will try auto zone as there is one not too far from me...but did you have this issue with the spare fuses. Why would they
give you a spare that is not the right size??...really confused by this lol

I've had the car since 2 yrs old and it was practically new...but I guess it's possible the original owner did that. Really weird lol
