Grocery Getter :: 2006 Infiniti fx35 awd

Hey soon with the 15mm spacers that you have on did you have to roll the fenders? That's the issue I'm having with the 25mm spacers. Everytime I'm going fast and hit a bump on the road i hear it. Have not gotten it done yet but if the 15mm spacers don't make u have to roll the fenders might just switch.

Nice pics... need to start a gallery featuring Soon's FX
haha, fx still looks pretty stock. nothing special.

I miss this FX. When are we doing another photo shoot?
anytime anyplace boss!

Oscar, with the 15mm spacers I havent done anything to the fenders with the fx50 wheels. The 18 and 20 stock FX wheels also were safe from my experience. I would guess 20mm is the limit if you are having issues with your current 25mm. The Ichiba spacers are pretty much on all year long since I'm running all season tires.

Which set of wheels are rubbing with the fender trim?

Both the 21" and the 22" rims are running but that's when I hit a bump and u just hear it. I even noticed on the 22" rims that the piece of metal that's on the fender took a piece of ten rubber off.

Got to roll or the sharp edges and burrs will eat your tires. Easy procedure and well worth the effort make sure paint doesn't crack and everything is sealed up well!

BTW did you run 25s all around and did that get you flush with the 21's?

I never installed a Stillen Hi Flow in comparing, but doubt it makes a huge difference. Maybe more sound effect when stomping on the gas pedal. My idea was to keep the oem ducks but removing some factory restrictions. Paid 1/4 of the stillen price tho. No regrets with the OEM uprev mod tho.

thanks JD, wish I can afford a FX50 upgrade instead of bits of FX50 parts :tongue:

That's what I'm going for, as well. For the money, I'd just get a plenum spacer as opposed to the intake kit.

OEM battery been having some "huffing and puffing" whenever I have it parked for over 5 days, and having 30's degree weather in nyc isnt helping. Consulted with my personal mechanic (*cough*cough: tc6...thanks.) Was near Sears on a weekend project and picked up their SEARS DieHard Gold (size 35). I'm sure I can still get a few more months or might even another year out of the OEM battery but cant risk it.
~$130 after taxes, guess it's not too bad given the 3 years free replacement warranty. :chicken:
