GEE35FX's Cross Country Tour

[GEE50FX]

I got together with a few Infiniti guys from the Calgary,Edmonton area in Red Deer yesterday. It was a fun day even though there was lots of rain. We chilled for a while, went to a local bar for eats and drinks, then a cruise to a town called Sylvan Lake.
It's too bad I was the only FX there. Shumby (from this site) might have been there but he was working out of the province.

Well, here is another update.
We are now in Revelstoke, British Columbia. We really enjoyed ourselves in Saskatchewan and Alberta.

This has been an amazing trip. So much awesome scenery, great driving roads and we have met many great people.

We have been gone 3 1/2 weeks and have accumulated 6,900 kms (4,290 miles) on the FX.

Oh my gosh Wayne.....those are the best pictures I have seen in a very long time. Some of those pictures look so surreal!

Those are great pics. Was planning to go to Canada/Alaska next month, but that changed into Mexico instead. Oh well . . . guess it's gonna be sun & sand in Cabo instead. Maybe next year I can shoot up there.

That bear did freak me out a bit, I stepped out of the FX to snap a couple of pics and that bear decided to come back across the road. Karen said she never knew I could move that fast
We have seen a lot of Black bears and one Grizzly.

Soon, the FX is not actually very clean. I have only been able to hand wash it once so far and I have hosed it down a few times in DIY wash bays.
It really bugs me that I cannot keep it really clean on the trip. I will have to give it a good detail in a few weeks when I return.

Jonas, I will definitely give you a call when I'm near your place in about two weeks.

Tonight we had a boo-boo. We went down to the Kelowna Waterfront (You never know, we might spot the Ogopogo Monster). When Karen got out of the FX she dropped the Canon on the pavement, I think the camera is pooched :frown:. The corner of the case is dented and the lens won't retract. Karen was sooo upset, but shiznitt happens.
We loved that camera, it was the older Canon G9. So tomorrow I will try to pick up a new Canon in the same updated model, the G12.

Hi guys, we have been on the road for just over 5 weeks and we are having an absolute ball. This trip has been amazing, we have driven around 6,500 miles so far.
I have tons of pics, I will post a bunch in a few days.

We are in Oglesby, Illinois for tonight and will be travelling to Plymouth Mi for a few days then returning home to Ontario next week.
