I guess this is why you don't park on the street...

Noticed this when I got in the FX to go to work this morning...Looks like somone got me with their mirror sometime last night.

Most will buff out but there is a small dent :mad.:

Ouch

Keep an I open for the Dickweed driving that colour vehicle :mad.:

Take some acetone put a small amount on a rag and gently wipe off the blue from the paint. Then put some wax back on the area that you wiped. it will come off no issues.

Those marks will definitely polish out. After you polish them you said you have a small dent right? You can take it to a PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) shop and have them use their special tools to pull the dent back out for $75. I swear PDR works like magic! I've used it on two spots on my FX and it came back flawless.

I'll have a look around, but I don't know if anywhere around here has that technology...

Thinking about setting up a webcam haha

avoid parking there as much as you can dude. never a safe bet. you have a damn new car. this sucks. at least it's not the worst case scenario.

If I had a choice I wouldn't either...I live in an apartment downtown with no parking available. Small town with very few housing options available. Moving into a house in July though
I overnight parked my 06FX on the street once and it was stolen. Next time I'll remember to take the keys with me :err:

This is typical...super expensive cars driven by folks that live in tiny homes or garden apartments then complain when something happens to it. Seems like the problem isn't so much the dinged mirror as much as a "prioritization" of what's important...sell the car to help with a downpayment on a home with a garage in a nicer neighborhood where dickweeds like the guy who hit you don't live.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be a jerk. It may have come off that way, but c'mon. You can't say that you haven't seen that before. If you park an expensive car on the street, you're just asking for trouble and chances are you will enjoy the car less because you are constantly worried something will happen to it. Or, in many cases it's a leased car with something like a $700 per month payment then you have to pay much more to fix whatever damage or issue happens to the car...I just speak honestly. Sorry if it offended anyone.
