LED Reverse lights

If you use LED or altered reverse lights, does it damage the taillight at all? like melting or burning if the light is turned on for too long?

I ordered these from v-LEDs and have been happy so far.

As for the second question, LEDs by nature do not produce a lot of heat and especially with the backup lights, they're only ever on for a few seconds at a time anyway. I do know some people who replaced the backups with HID, those on the other hand produce a lot of heat, but again, I it typically only for a short period of time, you should be ok.

For leds in the interior you have to use led boards. Those led bulbs wont do anything. I changed every light to smd led boards. Light output is 3x brighter. As for reverse lights, hid is the way to go. I've done many tests for our reverse and hid is it. Gotta remember you have to use a specific hid reverse kit.

I like HID, but isn't it a hell of a lot more involved in that small space.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the interior LED replacements basically remove the ability for the lights to fade in and out correct? I actually like the softer light inside.

They fade to a certain extent, but not as much fade before they turn off as the regular bulbs.

For $70 shipped the HID reverse light kit will be worth every penny! I'm sick of trying ever combination of LED's and the HID will blow them all away. Thanks for the write up and finding the kit!

As an alternative you can use a 894 bulb from some driving lights for around $15 and modify them to fit. Real easy to do and it is about double the wattage of the stock bulbs. A bit brighter than the stock bulbs or LEDs although not nearly as bright as I imagine the HIDs to be

I purchased one recently but not satisfied, i need one white/blueish that illuminates far, i have no smoked tails

this is the one i purchased

ALSO NEED ONE FOR THE INTERIOR LED, SOMETHING NICE, NOT THE TAIWAN KRAP

Hi bud, I live in Taiwan and the The Taiwanese invented the LED's..Maybe ur talking about the Crap bulbs from China..Taiwanese quality for LED's is excellent and 80% of LED bulbs that you get in the states are made in TAIWAN.
