Without my FX for 1 or 2 months

today i called into the dealer because for a while my rpm kept inflactuating it latetly it had been getting worst. While on the 101 freeway in the morning around 11:15 am the car started playing around and just went dead on me completly turning off, thanks to the CHP officer and some drivers turning on their hazard lights to slow down traffic for me to be able to get to road side. The dealer talked with Infinit HQ and they said it might take 1 or 2 months or maybe longer until the update comes out. I told my service advisor i dont want to be driving the vehicle under these conditions therefore they need to keep it at the dealer until it is fixed. Now I am hoping they can fix this asap because i dont want no damn g35 or 37 to drive around i want my car. This was my second time taking in the vehicle for this problem ;-(.:tears:
 
Ehh, I've been away from mine since September except for 3-4 weeks over 3 breaks. At least you get a loaner, I get the bus. :frown:
 
i still need to go in they have to give me a loaner or i will go nuts!!!! this a fctory ecm ecu problem they have to give me a loaner!
 
Good luck with your issue and keep us updated. But why did infiniti say it would take so long? Is this a known issue? You should get a loaner for sure and infiniti should pay for it.
 
i wouldn't worry about a loaner, it's something they are obliged to do. Hope you get your car fixed asap man.
 
when the service guy talked to the infiniti tech they said they are working on finding the issue an they are aware of the problem because apparantly the M's also have a similar problem. so as far as why it is taking so long i do not know they wouls not give me an exact time.
 
Okay i just dropped my baby off aka my FX lol. First things first, the service advisor pills out rhe maintnance book an starts showing me what maintnances i need. As i follow him he starts talkin about transmission flush engine this that i say okay how much is this all going to set me at and he comes up with this crazy number $650 i was like no way hell no as a matter a fact i cant afford that right now. So he says okay let me give you some discounts he drops it to $515 and i say still no because at this time that is still too much. So he turns and says to me " if you hit the wall onthe freeway dont blame me or infiniti" in my head im like wtf????. So he gives me my loaner and he charges me $10 plus my oil change. I ask when will my car be ready he says tuesday i ask is that with the software update he says no and i told him i dont want the vehicle unless everything is fixed so i will wait until tuesdayto see what happens. I went to rollin wit 24" to this

EX isn't that bad(nothing though compared to your ride). Why would you even put up with this service guys crap? Trans Flush? you have an 09..there's no way you can be due for a trans flush yet.

I would have just told him, Im here so you can fix my software issue, I didn't come here so you can sell me crap I dont need.

WTF!....I would have asked for his supervisor right there on the spot....trying to say that if you do not get a trans/ engine work done your car is going to be unsafe and possibly hit a wall on the freeway.....well I guess if thats the case, this car is extremely unsafe and I should never have bought an Infiniti in the first place.... I should have gotten a Toyota, at least its still driveable when its accelerating itself, Infiniti's become uncontrolable I guess when you dont get an oil change...Horrible sales tactic and I would have chewed his ass for a comment like that....I would have gotten the oil change/ loaner / and then some for nothing after his sacrastic ass comment from his supervisor.

o no i only paid or oil change im at 30k miles and ya i did chew his ass. if the problem is not fixed by tuesday when they told me to pick up the vehicle they have another thing comin i dont take shit from no one
 
In addition to the fact that you are illiterate (can anyone follow this guy's issue/story?), your rationale to avoid the needed service on your FX is ridiculous. If you can't afford to maintain a vehicle, then you shouldn't own a car.
 
lolll buddy i own a cls55 amg 2007 M5 and the FX as far as illiterate goes i realy do not care how i type or write on a forum you want to seem like some kind of a proffessor go ahead by all means have fun if it makes you feel good about yourself. If you wanna talk about maintaining a vehicle let me see you maintain the cls and the m5 so dont come on a page start insulting a person that you have never met or know anything about.

tbh i doubt his 09 needs a transmission flush as suggested by the dealer... fxp could prob change his own oil too, but just paid for it. quid pro quo.
 
and jay i dont know why you didbt understand it while others did. and try typing that long on a phone
 
So you have all these fancy expensive vehicles and can't even do the recommended maintenance. Why don't you just take it to a shop that will do it for less? It just seems strange that you could own such vehicles and can't even pay $500.

its not i cant its that i couldnt at that moment. And it is also not about owning anything fancy he is talking about not being able to maintain it i have had the FX foe almost two years now and i have done all the maintnances they have asked from me and all i want is my car to be fixed then i will pay them whatever they want for the maintnance i have no problem with that. All i want is infiniti to hold up its end of the warranty thats all.
 
Be sure to tell him the flush is completely optional, and even just changing the fluid might not be needed. Does your dealership not have you pay when you pick the vehicle up after service?

They shouldn't be pressuring you for anything aside from regular oil changes and filter changes. I've even taken my FX in before, and they said, well if you've been changing the oil and have the K&N filter, there's really nothing we need to do.
