GTSPEC products ... Idea / Suggestion

While we're at it, can you GT Spec guys come up win some way of fitting the Front Strut Bar over a Stillen Supercharger. The Stillen bar is Arched so it has about an inch clearance. We tried re-welding the mounts but it would hit hood. Also, we could not bend the Bar cause it would break it.

+1 on FXtion comment.. Not that I have a SC but maybe in the future I would like to have one.. And I would also like to have my gtspec strut bar with it.. That was really good one bro!

Give me some specification, for example, how much more room you need and where you need it.

We can probably do a special edition run if there are 20 people that are interested.

what do you guys use to test the effectiveness of the bracing? Overall, I'm happy with the parts I've had from you guys but some leave me scratching my head  Like Jeff Goldblum said in Jurassic Park "just because you can, doesn't mean you should!".

Bottom line - are you connecting as many points as is feasible or is there some real measurement going on to get a metric on deflection etc? Just wondering how far to take it as far as adding braces (i.e. diminishing returns for a muffler brace on an STI  )

There are no actual way to measure how effective per particular braces are. There are no dyno or no number to apply here. Alot of our brace are based on pass experiences with other cars / application.

One of our engineer was a chief engineer in a professional race team in Japan. Using the same type of bracing technology he learned during his involvement with the race team, he has developed parts like fender brace, our trunk cage system, strut tower braces and the lower tie braces.

I guess you have to trust the brand and trust the comments of people that have tried the products. Take a look at CUSCO website ... some of the braces they have makes me wonder does it really work ? But alot of people purchase them because they believe in the brand "CUSCO".

That's what we hope to achieve, to be able to have the trust of the market. Hopefully we can achieve that level of confidence from our customer in the coming years.

well, actually, there is. a spring scale with wires hooked between mounting points. Jack the car from one side to induce flex. Measure. Install brace. Repeat measurement.

You're measuring deflection.

As for the Cusco stuff....I agree. I've had the same thoughts about some of the GT Spec parts and the Beatrush stuff too.

not sure what you mean. Your product is meant to eliminate deflection/movement of certain mounting points (sometimes important ones like suspension pickup points). We're not measuring force this way but flex.

Make interior brace from the roof rail mount points of the interior down to the front and reat seat belt points. I wanna see who would commit to cutting into the headliner!!!

maybe... Just maybe they can make it stealthy so it can be covered by the headliner... Now that would be awesome!!

Might be difficult. My friend with a G, runs a bolt in Cusco cage. Before the cage he had a lot more rattles and stuff. I thought I wouldn't like how it drove with the cage in there but it actually felt good with the body being stiffened up.

Hey Its GTSpec they can make it happenned bro!!!

I hope lol!!

But just imagine having the interior all braced up and people wouldn't even know is there.. Specially since the FX is a luxury XUV..

the interior brace that we make for the Fit doesn't required cutting of the headliner.

we will probably use the seat belt mounting points.
