Sorry for the crappy cell phone pix. Well my car is finally done (well two more things need to go on but its ok for now). For anyone that wants to put a vortech on their fx35, here are some starting points for yall to see. Notice where the supercharger is. That is the part that needs to be cut. Now this a 350z kit made to fit in the fx minus the v2 blower and switched to a v7-ysi blower for more power.

congratulations, what is the missing pulley?

missing pulley? As of right now the 2.87 pulley is on there but will be replaced with the 2.62 pulley. Parts that are still waiting to be installed are the fully built transmission and the GTspec braces. We replaced the vortech bypass valve with a paxton race bypass valve. The stock vortech one was just way too damn noisy.

Edit: OH are you talking about the rusted looking part where the stock idler pulley used to go? If so then they took that off because with the vortech setup its no longer needed.

I know what the blower is capable of in the Mustang world but now much power do you plan on making? Never would I think that big of a blower would be a good match for a street driven 3.5 liter vehicle.

right now its making 477 whp/ 365 torque at around 6500rpm on a mustang dyno. Thats the the 2.87 pulley changing it out to the 2.62 and adding water/meth. Hopefully I can hit 550+whp reving to 7k. Street its driving fine no traction for a standstill from 1-2, 2-3 i go sideways, then chirps 3-4. The stupid thing about it is that this really is my wifes car lol. I wanted to be different and this is definitely different.

Your wife is totally spoiled. Hope my gf will not see this thread. Otherwise, I will be in big trouble. :tonguey:

AWESOME! Very nice setup. Glad to see you changed out the valve to make this quieter. That was one thing which was a big minus for the vortech kit. Please post specs and setup on the following thread.

As you all know from my ealier posts, i was SCREWED BAD by SGPracing. I then took the fx to Johnny Tran at Overdrive/JtranStudio up in Conroe, TX. They fixed everything. Stand up guy with great turnaround time. They basically did everything in 2 weeks what SGPracing tried to do in 9 months and still failed. Their shop number is (936)588-3735 if anyone cares.

YES, we care. And YES, I will be talking to them! Great build - if you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost you - just for the kit and the install. You can leave out the 9 months of SGP issues and swapping out the valve. Just curious to see how this bad-ass Supercharger compares to doing a similarly priced turbo kit.

short block 2300
vortech tuner kit 3200 but add 2100 for ysi exchange
install of everything 3500
cams 900
return fuel sys 900
stereo 700
haltech 1700
guages around 1000 plus

If I was to compare and redue for ease i would definately go jwt tt. But like i said... I wanted to be different.
